UCL: Liverpool best player against Napoli, others nullified by the Naples

The Reds goalkeeper and Brazil international, Alisson Becker was the best player against Napoli.

For the second time this season, Liverpool suffered a defeat and this time around it is in the hands of the Italian club, Napoli in the Uefa Champions League.

Going by the match highlights, the Naples put up a great performance at San Paolo last night with Liverpool not being hundred per cent.

According to Klopp in a post-match statement, the German made it known that it is worse if a club goalkeeper is the best player in a squad.

Alison Becker managed to hold the fort but Napoli were able to slip in a well-deserved goal from Lorenzo Insigne.

Napoli could have added more goals because they had the chances but Liverpool goalkeeper was up to the task.

Klopp went on to disclosed that the Reds defenders timing was slow.

Another issue from last night match was that Napoli made Liverpool strikers looked useless, they didn’t get a single goal on target, which is quite embarrassing.

In his regular manner, Jurgen Klopp admitted that the reason for Liverpool poor performance was his fault.

He went on to applaud Napoli coach, Carlo Ancelotti, who he described as a lion.

The Napoli new boss deserves all the accolades he can get because his side was the better team, who truly deserve to win.

Liverpool will face Red Belgrade in their next UCL match.
