Tottenham join race for £20 million Arsenal target

Arsenal are no longer alone in the race to sign Genk midfielder Sander Berge following reports that North London rivals Tottenham are also interested in his signature and are keen to have him join the club in the new year as soon as the winter transfer window reopens.

Tottenham are believed to be in search of a powerhouse that will serve as a big cover in the middle with reports of Dembele and Wanyama preparing to leave the London club in January.

Sander Berge has been impressive this season and has been identified as the player who fits into the system of play at Tottenham and is not expected to cost much despite having big quality.

Mauricio Pochettino is ready to break the bank for Sander Berge having admitted that the Norway international is just the kind of player he needs at the club.

Tottenham are also believed to be aware of Arsenal’s interest in the player and they are ready to battle for his signature because of the high need of him.

The Gunners are also going to be without Wales international Aaron Ramsey who is having his last months as an Arsenal player with his contract at the club expected to end at the end of the season.
