Leandro Trossard

Arsenal might be ready to move in for Genk forward Leandro Trossard following reports that he is now being monitored with scouts expected to watch him by the weekend.

The Gunners are now short of legs in the attack with the injury of England international striker Danny Welbeck who is not expected to return anytime soon, hence they seek to storm the winter transfer market which reopens in coming months for a replacement.

Leandro Trossard has been identified as a perfect replacement for Welbeck having impressed in the Belgium league this season after returning from a number of loan spells.

Gunners boss Unai Emery is reportedly keen on the Belgium international and is ready to meet his release clause to be able to complete a deal ahead of the second half of the season which is believed to be a tougher phase.

Leandro Trossard has played two games and has a total of two goals for his side across all competitions this season and could be a good deal for the North London side knowing that he has a release clause of £10 million.

The Gunners boss is desperate to return his side to Champions League football next season and that will be possible with good players to win games.
