Three reasons Chelsea won Southampton

The Blues had a total victory against Southampton at St Mary’s stadium today.

Chelsea won the game with three goals to nothing.

The first goal was scored by Belgium international, Eden Hazard in the first half while the duo of Ross Barkley and Alvaro Morata scored the second and third goal in the second half.

Chelsea are now a major contender in the EPL but if they slipped off in their match against Man City, Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur can overtake them.

Below are three reasons Chelsea defeated Southampton.

1. Eden Hazard continues his ‘magical’ form

The Belgian striker was once again spectacular for the Blues, he scored the first for Chelsea and his presence was felt all through the match.

With his pace, he might end up breaking his total goal record in a season under new coach Maurizio Sarri.

2. Chelsea pressed Southampton to the end

For the first time, Sarri ball came into full view, the Blues didn’t give Southampton some breathing space.

Jorginho did a wonderful job distributing the passes.

3. Southampton once again remain weak

Coach Mark Hughes once again lost to Chelsea because the team looked weak.

Southampton have won only one match since the commencement of this season.
