The reason why Pep Guardiola is not a United manager revealed, it will shock you

It has been revealed that English Premier League outfit Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola ought to be the manager at Manchester United today but a move to have him at the Old Trafford was stopped by the club legend Peter Schmeichel who was in the picture.

According to reports, Pep Guardiola was suggested to replace legendary manager Alex Ferguson when he was meant to retire back in 2012 but the club’s legend spoke against it.

Peter Schmeichel stated that he was vocal in the selection process and had convinced the board that the Spanish manager was not the best for the job because of his style which was different from the way United are known to play.

According to him, the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss had a style of play which is different from what he has now adopted. Peter Schmeichel noted that Pep Guardiola would have been a good fit for the club if he had employed the possession football at that time.

However, Pep Guardiola is now being admired by a lot of big sides because of his possession football and his ability to dominate like he did in the Spanish La Liga and the German Bundesliga.
