Stamford Bridge outfit Chelsea have been boosted with a major transfer update involving Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho who has endured a frustrating time with the Spanish giants for the better part of the last year.
Spanish publication Marca claim that Barcelona have made a transfer U-turn on Brazilian international Coutinho ahead of the summer’s transfer window.
It was revealed that Barcelona might consider the idea of selling Philippe Coutinho in the transfer window in the summer on one condition.
This is a major movement from the earlier Barcelona stance and it’s a big boost to clubs who are keen on signing the former Inter Milan playmaker.
The 26-year-old has been attracting the interest of European heavyweights like French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG), Manchester United and Chelsea.
Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu had earlier revealed last week that the club is not considering the idea of selling Philippe Coutinho who joined the Nou Camp giants in a deal worth £142m.
The latest development says that Barcelona will consider selling the Brazilian if he continues to churn out poor performances for the club from now till the end of the season.
Coutinho is a good replacement for Eden Hazard at Chelsea if the Belgian leaves the club this summer.
