“We’re targeting three players” – Chelsea identify United forward as one of three summer transfer targets

According to reports, Chelsea are looking at a transfer deal to sign Manchester United forward Anthony Martial and Nice midfield maestro Jean Seri.

Chelsea set to sign trio

The Daily Express is claiming that Chelsea have identified Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski, Frenchman Anthony Martial and midfield sensation Seri as key transfer targets.

The same report states that the Blues are working on the transfer deals despite uncertainty surrounding manager Antonio Conte’s long-term Chelsea future.

Naturally, potential recruits will be reluctant to commit to Chelsea with their manager’s current situation unclear amid rumour linking former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri with the position.

As per the same story, the FA Cup winners will inform the agent of striker Lewandowski, Anthony Martial and midfielder Serri of their plans by the end of June.

Reinforcement required at Stamford Bridge

The Blues will need a complete overhaul this summer window after they finished in the fifth position in the English Premier League log to miss out on a UEFA Champions League place.

The West Londoners lost 1-0 to rivals Manchester United in the Emirates FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium in May after Belgium international playmaker Eden Hazard netted the winning goal from the penalty spot.

The London outfit haven’t won the UEFA Champions League since their 2012 triumph when they defeated Bayern Munich on penalties.
