Salah Joins Others On Team Of The Week Shortlist

Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah has been named as one of the eleven players that made the Team of the Week for the latest set of Premier League games at the weekend.

The Egyptian international star made the list of players compiled by popular media outlet Goal for Matchweek 33 games.

Mohamed Salah made a welcomed return to scoring form in the Premier League win over Southampton on Friday night as Liverpool came from a goal down to secure the three points on offer.

The Reds had trailed to an early strike from Southampton striker Shane Long who then had the chance to double the Saints’ lead only for him to miss the ball when the net was wide open.

The miss came back to haunt both Long and Southampton after Liverpool equalised just before the halftime interval.

Naby Keita scored his first goal for Liverpool since his move last summer to secure a 1-1 draw at the halftime interval.

Liverpool then went on to score two goals in the second half through Mohamed Salah and substitute Jordan Henderson to secure the three points via a 3-1 win away from home.

The Reds secured the Premier League summit at the expense of title rivals Manchester City with the win over Southampton.
