Revealed: Liverpool Send Scouts To Watch Ex-Man Utd Winger

Premier League giants Liverpool have registered their interest in Lyon attacker Memphis Depay.

It was revealed that the Reds are weighing up the possibility of signing him during this summer’s transfer window.

Memphis Depay was watched by the Liverpool scouts during the league game against Marseille last weekend.

Marseille were beaten 3-0 at home by Lyon who secured a big win over their rivals.

According to media portal Mercato365, Liverpool scouted Dutch international Memphis Depay and two others during the game.

Tanguy Ndombele and Houssem Aouar were the other Lyon players who were of interest to Liverpool officials with the latter impressing a great deal.

Manchester United scouts were also in attendance according to the said publication.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of Memphis Depay and he’s willing to give him a second chance in England after his unsuccessful spell at Manchester United.

His spell at Old Trafford lasted for just 18 months before he was sold to Lyon for around £15m in January 2017.

Depay had earlier joined Manchester United from Dutch Eredivisie outfit PSV Eindhoven in 2015 after playing a big role in the team that won the league title in that campaign.

He has scored 37 goals in all competitions over the last two seasons for Lyon.
