Mourinho Single Out These United Stars For Praise Following CSKA Moscow Win

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho was pleased with the way his men played at Moscow on Wednesday night after beating CSKA Moscow 4-1 to get all full three points from the encounter.

And the Portuguese tactician has hailed four of the boys for their impressive performances during the Champions League game.

The Old Trafford club continued their fine start to the season by dominating the Russian side at home, and goals from Romelu Lukaku (a brace), Anthony Martial and Henrikh Mkhitayran made the difference.

Although Mourinho did not travel to Russia with a handful of his first-team regulars for the game, those available were able to put up some superb displays that made the Portuguese tactician happy.

And speaking after the win at the VEB Arena, the former Chelsea boss said his side’s performance is of advantage to each of the players and for the team at large – due to the confidence derived from getting six points in two matches and topping their group.

Jose also applauded Chris Smalling, Victor Lindelof, Ander Herrera and Anthony Martial. This is because, despite that they were not getting regular game time, they were all able perform well on Wednesday night.

“I am just speaking about players not starting [games].” the manager said.

Up next is a premier league game against Crystal Palace on Saturday at Old Trafford.
