Contact made! Milan joins race to sign Chelsea target ..

West London premier league side Chelsea will have  to battle with Italian giants AC Milan in their quest to sign Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez.

The 24-year-old is said to be surplus to requirements at the Nou Camp and that the Catalan club will be open to his sale when the January transfer window reopens.

According to Italian media outlet calciomercato, the seven-time European champions AC Milan are ready to capitalise on his situation at Barcelona and bring him over to San Siro.

The report also further revealed that the San Siro giants have already made contact with Barcelona over a potential transfer for the 24-year-old.

AC Milan want to sign him on a short-term loan deal until the end of the season with an option to buy him permanently.

If a deal will eventually pull through, that is yet to be seen which is rather based on if the bid put forward would be attractive enough for Barcelona to let Denis Suarez leave the club.

Denis Suarez has been on the fringe of the first team at Barcelona since he returned to the club from fellow Spanish side Villareal in 2016.

Chelsea have been strongly linked with the Spaniard since new manager Maurizio Sarri took over in the summer.

Denis Suarez came close to signing for Napoli twice while Sarri was there.
Other interested clubs include AS Roma and Arsenal.
