Manchester United Offer £25m For Another Most Wanted English Defender

Manchester United are closing in on a summer deal for Burnley defender Michael Keane, according to reliable sources.

The Red Devils are believed to keen on re-signing the young defender that was allowed to leave the Old Trafford under former boss Louis Van Gaal and Jose Mourinho who remains focused on bringing in reinforcements to the current squad this summer.

The Portuguese boss had earlier revealed that he would not have sold the stars that left United if he was in charge at the Van Gaal was at the helms of affairs.

Reports in the Daily Star claim that Manchester United have offered a £25million fee to Burnley to part ways with Michael Keane who they are ready to give a £120k wage.

Liverpool are believed to in the offing for defender’s signature this summer, as Jurgen Klopp wants to add solid defenders to his current squad after seeing his side concede cheap goals this season, owing to poor defensive displays.

Jose Mourinho is understood to be unhappy with the attitude of the likes of Chris Smalling and Phil Jones, claiming that they do not give their everything to the club as the pair have been sidelined for the major parts of the current campaign. United are expected to line up bids for several players in a bid to consolidate on their current successes.
