Manchester United Top Target Pick Injury Ahead Of January Transfer Window

German star player Mesut Ozil is not among the Arsenal party that will play against West Brom on Sunday evening in the premier league.

The former Real Madrid player is currently nursing an injury amid speculations linking him with a move away from Arsenal in January.

Ozil was not included in Arsenal’s matchday squad that clashed with West Brom on Sunday, and manager Arsene Wenger said it’s a mere knee injury.

The Germany international has been strongly linked with Manchester United in recent weeks, and he is said to be keen on reuniting with his former manager Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford in January.

Mesut Ozil will be out of contract at Arsenal next summer and has refused putting pen on paper for a new deal with the gunners to extend his stay at North London.

But issues with his knee ruled him out of Arsenal’s final game in 2017, and Nigerian international Alex Iwobi was called upon to replace him.

Despite that he is likely to be sold in January, Mesut has been playing all of Arsenal’s premier league games since early November and has been impressive for the gunners.

Iwobi started the West Brom game alongside Alexis Sanchez and Alexandre Lacazette upfront.

Granit Xhaka and Jack Wilshere played in the center of the park, and Chambers was also handed a start
