Manchester United Very Close With £50m Bid For Chelsea Target

Former European champions Manchester United have concluded plans to make a second offer for Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka in their quest to sign him during this transfer window.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka was undoubtedly one of the best right-backs in the just concluded Premier League season and it’s not surprising that the bigger English top flight sides like Manchester United are in the hunt for him.

It was his first campaign in the Premier League for Crystal Palace and the 21-year-old turned out to be an instant hit for the Eagles having usurped the experienced Joel Ward as the first choice Crystal Palace right-back.

Apart from Manchester United, Premier League champions Manchester City and the London duo of Arsenal and Chelsea have also been linked with him.

Manchester City have moved on to Juventus right-back Joao Cancelo, while Arsenal are now eyeing Paris Saint Germain (PSG) right-back Thomas Meunier.

For Chelsea, they have been handicapped by the two-window transfer ban hanging on their head and also subjected to an appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).

The aforementioned development has left Manchester United in pole position to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka despite the fact that their £40m was rejected by Crystal Palace.

According to the Daily Mirror, Manchester United will return with a £50m bid with the confidence that they will get their man despite the £60m asking price slapped on him.
