Manchester United close in on deal for Arsenal target Kieran Tierney, player wants move

We may not have seen the end of the squabble between Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger as they are bound to clash in the transfer window.

Arsenal have been on the chase of Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney but they will lock horns with Arch rivals Manchester United for the signature of the player, reports Starsports.

Although Arsenal signed left-back Sead Kolasinac this summer but Arsene Wenger is yet looking for options that will come to the Emirates in place of transfer bound Kierran Gibbs.

Arsene was understood to have offered £10m for Tierney but the Gunners offer is £5m short of the Bhoys valuation, hence it was rebuffed.

Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho has been unimpressed with the show-offs of England international Luke Shaw and he is keen on replacing the defender. There are wide speculations that Shaw may not be in the plan of the Portuguese tactician for next season.

Mourinho is said to be a fan of 20-year-old whose quality was confirmed after winning PFA Scotland Young Player of the Season award last year and making his Scotland debut last March.

Manchester United are more pragmatic in the transfer window than Arsene Wenger, who appears to be frugal with the transfer war-chest of Arsenal.

Celtic wants the play to stay back at their Club but the charm of the Premier League may just be a major factor why he’ll complete a move to Man United.
