The most tiring and frustrating thing about the transfer market is seeing other clubs sign their transfer targets while your Club struggles to get any deal done.
This has been the case of Chelsea albeit we have recouped over 120million Pounds in player’s sale. Chelsea player Charly Musonda is on the verge of completing a switch to Scottish side Celtic FC, after it was confirmed by the coach Brendan Rodger that the arrival of a big talent to the Club is imminent, (reports Goal.com).
Musonda wanted to force his way out of Chelsea in the penultimate season because he wasn’t given a chance in the senior team. He was sent on loan to Real Betis to aid his development, and after spending almost a year with the Spanish giants, he returned to Stamford Bridge in January.
Musonda, 20, has been keenly followed and admired by Brendan Rodgers who wanted to get the deal for the player done last month. Confirming his interest in the playmaker, Rodgers said:
“It’s been a period of six months. Celtic have been great in trying to make it happen and if we can close the deal out, it will be a high level of quality.
“It’s good money that will be spent on the player who is of a substantial pedigree and quality.
“He is young but he is a big talent and he has experience.”
A fee in the region of £5m has been mooted for the player’s move to Celtic Park – Rodgers has been actively involved in the transfer window having signed on Jonny Hayes from Aberdeen and 19-year-old star Kundai Benyu from Ipswich this summer.
If the deal goes through as it looks likely to, Musonda will add to a chunk of Chelsea players that have been cleared out of their books. Asmir Begovic and Nathan Ake have left Stamford Bridge for the Cherries.
