Liverpool Takes Step To Sign Sime Vrsaljko

Atletico Madrid star player Sime Vrsaljko has been recently linked with a move away from the Madrid club after emerging as a target for premier league giants Liverpool.

A few days back, there were widespread reports that the Anfield club, as well as Monaco, are the main contenders to get Sime’s signature. It was also said that the La Liga club are asking a fee worth €25 Million for the defender.

And recently, there are new reports that the Merseyside club have made contact with the Madrid club for the Croatian international.

It was also mentioned that Vrsaljko’s price remains €25 Million and that Serie A side Napoli have also joined the race for his signature.

The talented player has played 32 times for his country’s senior side, and participated in the recent World Cup qualifying play-offs against Greece.

However, the 25-year-old is not getting lots of playing time this term at his club, and he needs a handful of that so as to secure a spot in Croatia’s final squad that will travel to Russia next year for the World Cup.

Sime is a versatile player who can effectively play both as a right back and as a left back.

Since Jurgen Klopp already has the likes of Alberto Moreno and Andy Robertson (in the left back position) as well as an impressive player like Gomez (in the right back position), should he sign Sime?
