Manchester United are ready for their next FA Cup game on Friday, and they will host Derby County at Old Trafford.
Manager Jose Mourinho won the FA Cup in 2007 when he was still at Chelsea, and is yet to lift the silverware again since then.
The Portuguese tactician will, however, hope things can go differently right now at Manchester United and hope his current side can win the trophy this term (since Man City are favourites to win the premier league title this season)
Manchester United won Everton 2-0 at Goodison Park on New Year Day in the premier league and will be going into the Friday game with full confidence.
Frenchman Paul Pogba was very much impressive for the red devils on Monday, but it was goals from Anthony Marital and Jesse Lingard that earned United the full three points.
Although Manchester United are favourites to win on Friday, Mourinho shouldn’t underestimate Derby County – who are currently sitting on the second spot in the Championship.
The Championship outfit have been impressive recently and are unbeaten in their last seven games.
However, it is yet to be certain if the duo of Joe Ledley and Tom Lawrence would travel to Old Trafford for the game due to injuries.
For Manchester United, Romelu Lukaku is still in contention for Friday, but we aren’t expecting Zlatan Ibrahimovic to participate.
