Liverpool Set To Break Transfer Records To Get Thomas Lemar Signature

One of the players Liverpool were heavily linked with during the summer transfer window is Thomas Lemar.

The talented Frenchman was strongly linked with a move away from Monaco after emerging as a target for a handful of top European clubs including Arsenal and Liverpool – but he eventually stayed with the French champions for this season.

And there are new reports that Liverpool are back again for the talented playmaker and are ready to sign him in January.

L’Equipe made it known that the Anfield club made an offer worth £80million last summer and are ready to spend hugely to bring him into Jurgen Klopp’s team.

It was added that Liverpool are ready for the exit of Phillipe Coutinho – a deal they will make lots of money from, and are prepared to convince Monaco with €90M to get Thomas sold next year.

However, the French source also said the gunners are still interested in signing him in January as well.

On the other hand, there are reports circulating in the English media that premier league champions Chelsea are set to beat both Arsenal and Liverpool for the player’s signature.

The talented player was superb last season for Monaco, but is currently struggling this term. In 15 appearances for his side, he has only scored a goal and provided three assists to his teammates.
