Liverpool Set To Offer Star Player New January Deal

Philippe Coutinho has been heavily linked with a move away from Liverpool this month, but many red fans are begging he should remain at Anfield (at least, for this season).

Although the Brazilian is determined to join Barcelona, manager Jurgen Klopp is expected to do all he could to hold on to the former Inter Milan star player this month.

Coutinho has been superb this season so far for Liverpool and has scored 12 times with 9 assists in 20 games for Liverpool in all competitions.

Barca have been trying to get his signature since last year and can finally get things done this month.

According to recent news circulating in Spain, the samba star is getting closer and closer to joining the Catalan giants and Barcelona would try luring him to come over to Camp Nou.

It was also reported that Liverpool are trying to retain the South American player and are ready to agree to a new deal with him.

The management at Anfield have made the decision to offer him an improved deal just to extend his stay at Liverpool, but it appears his heart is already set on moving to Barcelona.

Coutinho is currently the highest paid player at Liverpool, going home with £200,000 each week.
