Jurgen Klopp: I Will Bring In A New Midfielder

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is determined to do all within his power to bring in a new center-midfielder before the end of this summer transfer window.

The Anfield club have sold both Lucas and Kevin Stewart this summer, and Adam has been ruled out for months after getting injured on his thigh.

With reports that Brazilian star Coutinho has submitted a transfer request to the club, it is not yet certain if he will be playing at Anfield this new season. And just recently, there were reports (via the Daily Record) that the Merseyside club won’t mind selling the Brazilian to Barcelona if they receive something as huge as €150M for him

Apart from the links, Philippe is understood to be receiving treatment for a back injury sustained during pre-season, and won’t be playing for Jurgen Klopp’s side when they meet Watford for their first premier league game of the new season.

Right now, Klopp only has Jordan Henderson, Emre Can, Gini Wijnaldum and Marko Grujic for 3 spots.

Even though James Milner can play centrally too,He is not seen as a core midfielder, and also let’s not forget that Juventus are still keen on getting Emre Can’s signature and Liverpool might be forced to sell him this summer so as not to lose him for free when his contract expire next summer.

And speaking to the Echo, Jurgen said:

“We don’t have many midfielders at the moment who have experience. Are we looking still for players? Yes. That’s the truth.”
