Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was not impressed with the match official during Sunday’s 3-1 defeat to runaway leaders Manchester City.
The Gunners had just equalized thanks to a goal from substitute France international forward Alexandre Lacazette, but the Gunners had their bubble burst by Brazil international striker Gabriel Jesus.
Spain international forward David Silva was very offside during the build-up to the goal, and manager Arsene Wenger was obviously not impressed with that kind of poor decision at a crunch time in the match.

In the video, French tactician Arsene Wenger is even firmer with his opinion, saying that the Gunners are ‘used’ to bad decisions at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City while strongly criticising what he sees that as the ever-declining standard of officiating in the English Premier League as not acceptable.
That the north London club didn’t start playing until they were 2 goals down was a big issue on its own, and discussion for another day.
Perhaps with a much better officiating, Wenger’s team might have found a way to equalize.
Manchester City had several chances to punish the Gunners further on the break. On a good day, the Gunners would have never been in the match.
Arsene Wenger also explained how France international Francis Coquelin ended up at centre back position.
