Jurgen Klopp Reveals When Injured Star Player Will Return To Action

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed Sadio Mane has been ruled out of the season, and will not return to action for the remaining fixtures of the current season.

The Senegalese forward limped out of Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Everton last Saturday, with fears that he might face long spell on the sideline due to the knee problem following reports that the swelling around the injury had not gone down.

However, Klopp has come out to give a definitive update on Mane’s injury situation, and admitted his season is over, he said: ‘Sadio Mane needs surgery – we’re not 100 per cent sure when it will happen. It’s clear – [his] season is over,

The 24-year-old has been a stand-out performer for the Reds since he arrived there last summer, churning out impressive displays that endeared him to Anfield faithfuls.

The German boss then revealed Adam Lallana who got injured while on international duty with England may return to action soon, he added:‘Lallana is much better but it not an option yet. Henderson is on a good path, but we don’t know when he will be back in training,’

Liverpool travel to the Britannia stadium on Saturday and will hope to return to winning ways after dropping vital points against Bournemouth last Wednesday night.
