Chelsea Seniorman With 91% Pass Accuracy Set For Shock Move

Bournemouth are reportedly targeting a transfer for Chelsea defender John Terry in the January transfer window.

The Blues skipper has not been able to nail a starting berth under Antonio Conte, making just nine appearances this season and could be further pegged back by the return of Nathan Ake from Bournemouth.

Reports in the Daily Telegraph have it that the Cherries are interested in taking Terry on loan for the rest of the season.

Chelsea recalled Nathan Ake on loan due to his impressive display under Eddie Howe but it appears the deal might have a double effect as the emergence of the youngster will further peg the 36-year-old defender down the pecking order.

The Englishman was sent off in their last game in the FA Cup third round match against Peterbrough and the Blues have failed in their appeal for the red card.

John Terry has made 711 appearances at the Stamford Bridge since he joined in 1998. The veteran defender will hope to reignite his career like his compatriot, Jack Wilshere who has been impressive since his loan move to Dean Court.

Chelsea are unlikely to give Terry more playing time due to the current form of the  Cesar Azplicutea, Gary Cahill and David Luiz, it is believed that Conte wants a cover in the defence as they continue to mount serious title challenge in the Premier League.
