Arsenal former striker Ian Wright has admitted that he is very jealous of Chelsea and their brilliance this season.
The west London club have hardly put a foot wrong under their current Italian manager Antonio Conte after the Italian took over the reins of affairs from Guus Hiddink at the end of the 2016-17 season at Stamford Bridge.
The Premier League table leaders were 2-1 victors against Wright’s former club West Ham United at the London Stadium on Monday night following goals from the duo of Eden Hazard and Diego Costa either side of half-time.
The Stamford Bridge outfit moved 10 points clear of their closest rivals Tottenham Hotspur after their impressive close-fought win against the Hammers with 11 games left to play.
On the other hand, Arsenal have endured a miserable week following their 3-1 loss to top-four rivals Liverpool in the Premier League before another 5-1 humiliation at the hands of Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
And Ian Wright speaking to The Sun Goals podcast about Chelsea’s incredible form said:
“I am so jealous of how brilliant Chelsea are because that’s how you should be performing when you’re up there. They’re brilliant. I’m so impressed with them.”
Last month when Chelsea clashed with Arsene Wenger and his Arsenal men at Stamford Bridge, the west London outfit were 3-1 victors which end the north London side’s hopes of title glory.
