Hudson-Odoi: Chelsea Contract Talks On Hold

The contract talks between Chelsea and young winger Callum Hudson-Odoi will have to wait till the summer if recent reports are anything to go by.

According to the publication from popular English news portal Daily Mail, Chelsea have put contract talks with the aforementioned Hudson-Odoi on hold amidst the transfer reports linking him with a move away from the club.

The young Chelsea winger has been frustrated with the lack of first-team opportunities at the club and he was ready to leave Stamford Bridge during the January transfer window as a result.

The 18-year-old handed in a transfer request in January in an attempt to force through a move to German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich only for Chelsea to stand firm that he won’t leave the club.

The Bavarian giants made five separate bids for him in January and are most likely to return this summer when he has a year left on his current deal with Chelsea.

Callum Hudson-Odoi recently made his debut for the England national team despite the fact that he’s yet to make a full Premier League bow for Chelsea.

The Chelsea Academy graduate played well for England during the international break but his good form for the Three Lions was played down by Blues boss manager Maurizio Sarri who left him in the bench for yesterday’s game at Cardiff City.
