Gini Wijnaldum calls Liverpool player arrogant, challenges Mo Salah

Liverpool FC have improved in their new style of defensive game under coach Jurgen Klopp, who recently changed the Reds formation to 4-3-2-1 making Mo Salah the main striker at the front.

The Reds used this system against Cardiff City as they went on to score four goals and pick up all three points.

The duo of Mo Salah and Xherdan Shaqiri scored one goal each while Sadio Mane scored a brace.

However, Liverpool midfielder and Holland international, Gini Wijnaldum in a post-match statement has applauded the duo of Xherdan Shaqiri and Mo Salah.

According to Wijnaldum, the former Stoke City player, Shaqiri has given Liverpool a new sense of arrogance.

Wijnaldum said Shaqiri ‘helped to give us a some arrogance.’

He hinted that the Swiss helped the squad to calm down during the game against Cardiff when the visiting side were pressing the Reds with the hope that they could score a second goal but Shaqiri went on to dash Cardiff’s hope by scoring a third goal.

The Reds midfielder also applauded Mo Salah but not without challenging to get better for the Reds so as to achieve another goal scoring feat this season.

Liverpool will be travelling to Emirate to face Arsenal in their next EPL match.
