Legend Reacted To Rooney’s Record-breaking Goal. What He Did On Twitter Will Surprise You

While the congratulations persists, Gary Neville too reacts to Wayne Rooney’s record-breaking goal for Manchester United.

Neville congratulated Wayne Rooney on becoming Manchester United’s record goal-scorer on Saturday afternoon after Rooney scored a dramatic equaliser in Manchester United’s 1-1 draw at Stoke City.

Rooney officially became Manchester United’s leading goal-scorer after the skipper scored an important goal in the fourth minute of added time to take his tally to 250 goals for the 20-time English champions.

His goal cancelled out David De Gea’s own goal to secure a point for his side and close ground on rival Liverpool following their 3-2 loss to Swansea City at Anfield.

When the game was still on, some interesting dramas are already taking place on twitter. Neville, with just 15 minutes to go and both Salford City and Manchester United losing, made a vow to stay off Twitter for the rest of the weekend unless the results dramatically changed. And when Rooney scored his record-breaking equaliser at Stoke, Neville wasted no time taking to social media to fire off a series of tweets.

Wayne Rooney equalled Sir Bobby Charlton’s record earlier this month when he scored in Manchester United’s 4-0 win against Reading in the FA Cup third round, but today officially became the club’s top scorer.
