Chelsea defender Emerges As Favourite Player To Join Arsenal

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has emerged as the favourite player that could join London club Arsenal in the present transfer market.

This is according to bookmakers SkyBet who claimed that the 33-year-old is 5/4 to join the Blues’ London rivals this month.

Gary Cahill has been heavily linked with an exit from Chelsea after six years of meritorious service for the Stamford Bridge outfit.

He has fallen behind in the pecking order of centre backs since former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri became the Chelsea manager at the start of this season.

Sarri has already told the England international player that he can’t give him more playing time and that the former Aston Villa and Bolton Wanderers player is free to leave the club in search of more minutes.

Gary Cahill has played just 21 minutes of Premier League football in this campaign as he’s the fourth choice centre back behind the trio of Antonio Rudiger, David Luiz and Andreas Christensen.

He has been linked with a return to Aston Villa but the Championship club has pulled out of the running to sign him because of the financial figures involved if they are to pull off a deal for the experienced centre back.
