Football fans react to Chamberlain’s shambolic display at Leicester on Liverpool debut

After coming on as a substitute in the humiliating loss to Premier League rivals Manchester City and disappointing draws against La Liga side Sevilla and FC Burnley, Liverpool star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain finally made his full debut for his Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, and it did not go well.

The Reds travelled to the King Power to play former League Champions Leicester City in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

The Ox was handed the opportunity to exhibit what he has to offer, and unfortunately for the former Arsenal star, that turned out to be below par.

While the match was still on, video clip began to surface on the internet of some of the midfielder’s passes and crosses, and they were way below their expectation for the player they bought for £40m in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal fans were not left behind in the banter as they came out with the ‘I told you so’ tweets on twitter, given Arsenal fans have been trying to tell Anfield faithfuls about Chamberlain’s final ball ever since he left North London. It also seem most fans took the chance to have a good laugh at the player.

Red fans even started to turn on the England star, as they were hoping that the Carabao Cup would provide the summer signing with a chance to prove his doubters wrong. Instead, the Ox proved them right.
