Arsene Wenger breaks transfer news Arsenal fans have been longing to hear

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that the Germany international playmaker Mesut Ozil has entered contract talks with the North London club over a possible fresh deal.

The FIFA World Cup winner’s contract runs out at the conclusion of the current campaign and the German has thus far, shown no major commitment to signing the dotted lines at the club.

Premier League giants Manchester United are hoping to snap up the former Real Madrid attacking midfielder on a free transfer next summer if the Arsenal superstar doesn’t pen a new contract with the Emirates club.

Arsenal’s French tactician Arsene Wenger has always insisted that he and the club hierarchy are very much interested in keeping the World-Cup star.

The former AS Monaco manager spoke about the Germany international, saying that contract negotiations are always on-going with everyone, insisting the club’s door is always open to everybody. He, however, said that for the rest, he cannot tell reporters much more.

Mesut Ozil can begin formal contract negotiations with any foreign suitor in the New Year so the Gunners will be hoping that he signs a contract before then.

Ozil has provided 50 assists in 129 English Premier League fixtures for Arsene Wenger’s side.
