23-year-old Star Wants Manchester United Deal Over ManCity

AS Monaco midfielder Fabinho wants to move to Manchester United ahead of Manchester City this summer, according to reports.

The 23-year-old has been a subject of transfer speculation after his wonderful timeout with French Ligue 1 side last term, helping them to an impressive outing as they won the French Ligue 1 and reach the latter stages of the Champions League.

Reports in Portuguese outlet, O Jogo have it that Fabinho wants to leave Monaco this summer and will fancy a move to the Premier League with the likes of Manchester United and their local rivals, Manchester City circling over his signature.

The report also have it that the midfielder will fancy a move to the Old Trafford due to the chances of working under Jose Mourinho.

City were also said to be closing in on a deal to bring Fabinho to Etihad this summer with reports that Pep Guardiola was confident on landing the 23-year-old ahead of other rivals.

Serie A champions, Juventus have also been credited with an interest in the midfielder after missing out on a transfer for Lyon star Corentin Tolisso who is on the verge of joining Bayern Munich this summer.

Although there are speculations that Jose Mourinho will prefer a move for Chelsea star Nemanja Matic instead.
