England Are Favourites For Euro 2020 – Ex-Chelsea Star

Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne is adamant that the Three Lions of England are favourites for the upcoming 2020 European Championship which would be held across 12 venues on the continent.

The former Chelsea player believes that England are favourites for the tournament ahead of his own Belgium team, world champions France and others.

He spoke to reporters about England and Euro 2020 shortly after he played alongside young English midfielder Phil Foden during the Premier League clash with Welsh side Cardiff City at the Etihad Stadium.

According to De Bruyne, Phil Foden has a bright future ahead of him and that he’s one of several English talents which makes them favourites for the upcoming Euro 2020 tournament.

Phil Foden impressed a great deal against the Bluebirds as Manchester City needed just two first-half goals from De Bruyne and Leroy Sane to secure the three points needed to move above title rivals Liverpool at the top of the Premier League.

The 18-year-old received high praise from his manager Pep Guardiola after the game.

The Manchester City boss is certain that Phil Foden can continue to perform at the highest level for the next decade.

Foden and Manchester City are chasing a first quadruple in the history of English football.
