Deal Almost Done as Liverpool Reportedly Agree star player move

According to reports, Liverpool have agreed talks with FC Barcelona over a transfer for Brazil international Philippe Coutinho, after positive talks between Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group and Coutinho’s agents.

As per Sport, the Reds will sign a quality replacement for Barcelona bound Coutinho before the summer transfer window closes on Thursday, then the Brazilian will be permitted to leave for a deal worth around €150 million.

The same Publication claim, the Reds want to replace Coutinho before he leaves to avoid paying over-inflated transfer fees for the replacement.

La Liga giant FC Barcelona confirmed they had secured the services of Dembele last Friday for €105 million, plus add-ons. The youngster joined Borussia Dortmund last May for around €15 million, as per ESPN FC.

Kicker (h/t Metro) reported that the Merseyside giant are interested in signing in Renato Sanches from Bundesliga giant Bayern Munich, with Italian tactician Carlo Ancelotti wanting to sell the 20-year-old this summer transfer window.

Bayern Munich beat off interest from Premier League trio of Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal to sign the Portuguese starlet last summer, for a reported fee of £27.5m.

With the summer transfer window closing in few days, the chances of Brazilian Coutinho joining Barcelona continue to look slim unless the Reds do sign a replacement and the attacker pushes hard for a transfer.
