Deal almost agreed – new manager wants £179m Chelsea transfer budget to sign three players

According to Italian media reports, Maurizio Sarri is demanding a budge of £179million to replace current boss Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge.

Sarri make transfer demands

Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport, as cited by the Daily Star, suggests that the former Napoli manager has made some demands as regards transfer if he is to take charge at Chelsea.

The same reports say that The Italian is planning to raid his former side – Napoli if Sarri, 47, takes up his first role in England following a successful campaign at Napoli.

As per the same report, the Italian tactician wants to sign defender Kalidou Koulibaly, right full-back Elseid Hysaj and midfield maestro Piotr Zielinski, who the manager worked with at the Naples outfit.

Conte set to leave Stamford Bridge

Antonio Conte is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer window following a tough second campaign in charge of the west London club despite a 1-0 victory over rivals Manchester United in the Emirates FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium.

The ex-Juventus and Italy head coach led the Blues to the English Premier League title in his debut campaign in charge after they finished seven points clear of North London side Tottenham in 2016-17.

They finished in fifth position in the League log to miss out on a possible UEFA Champions League place.
