Here Is What David Beckham Said About Sanchez’s Move To United

Manchester United legend David Beckham said he is surprised his former side managed to get Alexis Sanchez’s signature last week.

Sanchez joined Manchester United a few days back in a deal that saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan move in the other direction.

Alexis is obviously one of the biggest players in Europe, and his move to Old Trafford shook the media vehemently.

The Chilean international has been given the No. 7 shirt at Manchester United and he played his first game as a Man United player last Friday at Yeovil Town.

Although it’s goals from Marcus Rashford, Ander Herrera, Jesse Lingard and Romelu Lukaku that progressed the red devils to the fifth round of the FA Cup, Sanchez’s impressive performance during the game earned him the Man of the match honour.

The former Barcelona man has quickly settled to life at the Theater of dreams, and club legend David Beckham said he is astonished Arsenal could send Sanchez to Old Trafford.

Beckham, who was once the No. 7 man at Old Trafford, can’t wait to see the South American player flourish at Manchester United.

“We all wish [Alexis] luck.” he said.

Alexis Sanchez is set to play his first premier league game for his new side when they clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday, and he will hope he can inspire Mourinho’s side to overtake Manchester City before the end of this season.
