Arsenal handed £87m major transfer boost by World Best player

Arsenal looks to have received a potential transfer boost after recent rumours linking real Madrid with Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi.

Ronaldo vetoed Icardi move
As per Diario Gol, the Argentine striker has told his close associates that Cristiano Ronaldo forced his potential move to Real Madrid.

The Portugal international forward’s position may have been under severe threat with the signing of the Inter Milan hot-shot, who has been one of the most prolific striker’s in Europe this campaign.

Prolific striker
The Inter forward could have been a better version of the likes of Karim Benzema and Ronaldo in attack, with the La Liga giants struggling to find the net the way they use this season after falling massively behind in the Spanish La Liga title race.

Reports also recently suggested the striker was close to a £87million transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu only for tactician Zinedine Zidane to also declare his doubts over the move.

Possible Arsenal target
Elsewhere, reports linked the Icardi, 24, as a possible transfer target for the Gunners, who could surely do with top-class signings in attack after selling Chilean Alexis Sanchez and after France striker Alexandre Lacazette’s recent below-par performances at the Emirates this season.
