Champions League Hero Ready For Chelsea Move After Ignoring Man City

According to reports, Juventus star player Leonardo Bonucci is now set to talk about a summer switch to Chelsea after he rejected the opportunity to join Manchester City last year.

The defender appears open to quitting the old ladies after their Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid last Saturday at Cardiff. He is strongly linked with Premier League clubs in recent times.

Premier League champions Chelsea won’t mind bringing in another superb defender as John Terry is quitting Stamford Bridge. Antonio Conte’s side would deal with more challenges after making it back into the Champions League for next term.

Antonio Conte has worked with Bonucci back then at Juventus and even in the Italian national team. And Goal.com is reporting that the two Italians are ready to reunite at Stamford Bridge.

At the moment, Bonucci is regarded as one of the top central defenders in Europe following his impressive form in recent years.

The 30-year-old has also been monitored by Manchester City a year ago. It is understood that the Italy international had the chance to move to Manchester City in a £38million move, but turned the club down.

However, Pep Guardiola’s side could lose the defender to premier league champions Chelsea through Antonio Conte’s influence.
