Arsenal have signed Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer deal from Schalke O4.
The 26-year-old left-back has been linked with a move to the Premier League for several months with reports that Everton, Manchester City and Arsenal while Italian giants, AC Milan were also said to be circling for his signature.
The Gunners were said to have agreed on a deal to sign Kolasinac this summer amid interest from other clubs but there were suggestions that Everton also moved to sign the trigger talks with the defender.
However, Arsenal have confirmed their signature of the left-back as their first major summer signing with reports that the Gunners are prepared to spend big on adding quality signings to the current squad.
The club confirmed the arrival of Kolasinac on their social media handle, with a cheeky quiz for their supporters asking them the ten players signed by Arsene Wenger but listed only nine players spelling out the name ‘Kolasinac’.
The Bosnian defender then appeared in a video, confirming his arrival with a message: ‘That’s right, it’s me. Come on Arsenal!’
However, Kolasinac’s presence at Arsenal may mean that one of Monreal or Kieran Gibbs could forced out of the club this summer, with reports that the pair has offered to leave the Emirates.
