Chelsea Set To Complete Antonio Rudiger Signing, Medical Scheduled On Monday

After selling Egyptian star Mohamed Salah to Liverpool, AS Roma are set to push one of their player to the English Premier League this summer.

Talented defender Antonio Rudiger has emerged as a target for Chelsea, and it appears he’s destined to play for the premier league champions next season.

According to reports, Chelsea‘s move for the German star is all but done and the defender is reportedly set to have a medical with the Blues on Monday ahead of completing a £33million switch.

Chelsea look set to pay an initial £29 Million for Rudiger, with around £4m in potential add-ons for the star who had been a long target with a move to the English top flight.

The Germany international was impressive at Stuttgart before making the move to the Italian top flight in 2015 where he continued to shine in his centre-back role.

It is understood that Chelsea were in for Rudiger a year ago, but an injury hindered any chance of a move during that transfer window.

Gianluca Di Marzio claims to have held a meeting with both Chelsea and Roma to reach an agreement on the deal, with the defender also agreeing to personal terms with the Stamford Bridge club.
