Big Miss: Klopp Rues ‘Unlucky’ Salah Moment vs Barcelona

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has rued the big miss from star player Mohamed Salah during the Champions League clash with Barcelona at the Nou Camp on Wednesday night.

Klopp and his Liverpool players were beaten 3-0 at Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League semifinal tie partly due to the brilliance of Argentine superstar Lionel Messi.

Liverpool came close to getting an away goal through the aforementioned Salah only for his right-footed shot to hit the post towards the end of the game.

Klopp talked about that moment during his post-match press conference as he said that 3-1 would have been a better result ahead of the second leg meeting billed for Anfield next week Tuesday.

The difference between the two teams is that Barcelona took their chances while Liverpool failed to take the ones that came their way including the above stated miss from Egyptian international Salah.

Barcelona took a first half lead through former Liverpool player Luis Suarez before the late show from Lionel Messi.

The Barcelona skipper pounced on the rebound to double his team’s advantage on 75 minutes after Luis Suarez had struck the crossbar with a shot.

Messi then went on to score a third goal from a sumptuous freekick taken with eight minutes left on the clock.
