Bayern Munich take Arsenal out of the race for this important player

North London outfit Arsenal have longed been seeking for the signature of French Ligue 1 outfit Lille star Nicolas Pepe as efforts in the past, especially in the last January winter transfer window failed to yield any result.

The Gunners were short of funds and could not strike any major deal. They had wanted to wait until the coming summer transfer window to table an offer for him but that could be too late, according to reports.

It is reported that German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are now in pole position to secure the signature of the star player having already held talks with the club to inquire about his availability and fee.

The report therefore states that the Bundesliga outfit will be moving in to capture the Ivory Coast international in the coming summer window as they are already favourites ahead of Arsenal.

Nicolas Pepe is no doubt one of the hottest strikers in Europe at the moment with his impressive performance at the French Ligue 1. He is interesting Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain with both sides reported to be monitoring the situation at his club.

However, Arsenal had expected that Nicolas Pepe will come in as a perfect replacement for England international Danny Welbeck.
