Arsenal Take Bold Steps To Sign Proven Superstar

Arsene Wenger spent lots of money during the past summer transfer window to sign a superb striker in the person of Alexandre Lacazette.

The former Lyon striker has quickly settled to life at his new side and has been fruitful for Arsenal so far this season.

Last term, Olivier Giroud was the main man upfront for the gunners, but since Lacazette was bought, Giroud has mostly warmed the bench – obviously, Alex is better than Olivier.

However, Giroud remains a talented striker and is likely to leave North London next year for another club where he can get regular playing time.

With this in view, Arsenal are expected to remain on their toes to bring in another top striker, and there are reports linking them with a certain proven striker – in the person of Karim Benzema.

According to Don Balon, the North Londoners will replace bound-to-depart Alexis Sanchez with the Real Madrid striker, although they don’t want to pay a very high fee for the Frenchman.

It was also added that Arsenal have moved in with an offer worth €40 Million for Karim, although the release clause in his current contract at the Bernabeu is €1billion.

Benzema has won big trophies with Real Madrid but his currently struggling with form this season.
