Manchester United failed to win any of their last three domestic games but will hope to get back to winning ways when they clash with Southampton on Saturday at Old Trafford in the premier league.
The red devils were knocked out of the League Cup by Bristol City a few days ago, before earning a point each from the premier league games against Leicester City (last weekend) and Burnley (this week).
Manager Jose Mourinho is not only worried about the increasing gap between his side and league leaders Manchester City, but he is also bothered that other clubs – Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur – are about overtaking him on the second-spot.
The Saints, on the other hand, also lost their most recent premier league game and are now sitting on the 14th spot. They were thrashed 5-2 by Tottenham on Tuesday, and are worried about falling down to the relegation zone.
When Southampton hosted Manchester United earlier this season at Old Trafford, the red devils earned all three points from the encounter – all thanks to a single goal by Romelu Lukaku.
Although Lukaku is currently struggling for form, we expect Mourinho to give him another chance on Saturday, while the duo of Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial should also be part of the starting XI.
