Arsenal Swoop In For Highly Rated 21-year-old Star

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Spanish side Valencia’s young left-back Jose Gaya when the summer transfer window opens next year June in a bid to provide a long term solution to the position presently been occupied by first choice Nacho Monreal of Spain and his English international back-up Kieran Gibbs.

Nacho Monreal recently signed a new 3-year deal with the Gunners as early as this summer in what should be his last contract for the North London side considering his age while Gibbs has not been given a new contract with just 18 months left on his current deal, which runs out in the summer of 2018.

Jose Gaya has been a solid performer for struggling Valencia since he broke into the starting line-up making him one of the most exciting young fullbacks around with 11 appearances for the Spanish U21 side as well.

His performances have already attracted interest  from European heavyweights like Real Madrid and Barcelona.

If an Arsenal deal for Gaya becomes a reality it would represent the second time within a year that the Gunners are raiding the Mestalla following the signing of German defender Shkrodan Mustafi in a deal that was reported to be around £32 in the summer.
