Arsenal ready to sign Ligue 1 chief

The latest report reveals that North London outfit Arsenal have turned their attention on French Ligue 1 outfit Lille technical director Luis Campos.

The Gunners seem to be desperate to land a new technical director after their head of recruitment Sven Mislintat left the club but they have not been able to lay their hands on any.

Arsenal were linked with former AS Roma chief Monchi but he snubbed the Gunners to pen a deal with Spanish La Liga outfit Sevilla where he had previously worked.

The North London outfit were also linked with a move for former player Marc Overmars but there are fears that Ajax are not ready to lose him for now and will block his move away from the club.

This is the reason why the Gunners are now paying attention to the Lille chief with the hope that they can convince him into a move to England in the coming weeks.

Luis Campos is known to be very experienced and vast in his field owing to the offices he has held across top European clubs in the past and his record for signing quality players.

However, should he accept a move to the Emirates Stadium, he will have the coming summer transfer window as his first assignment to land quality players.
