Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger set to be offered £8million-yearly

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is allegedly set to be handed the opportunity to take over at Merseyside club Everton with a yearly salary of £8million.

Wenger stepping down

The French manager will be stepping down as Arsenal manager after 22 years in charge this summer transfer window and it is not yet known what lies ahead for him in the sport.

While it would be difficult to imagine the tactician at any other team, talkless of another in the English Premier League, he’s become a top target for the Toffees chief Farhad Moshiri, as per the Sun.

Everton want Wenger

The report suggests Everton would be set to match Arsene Wenger’s present £8m-yearly salary, though interest from French Ligue 1 champions PSG is also mentioned.

Arsene Wenger took charge of his last home match with the Gunners as they defeated Burnley 5 nil last weekend, with the Gunners also still yet to decide on his replacement at the club.

This surely promises to be an interesting summer of managerial changes as the Gunners face a crucial point in their history, while other teams may also be interested to pounce and offer the manager an opportunity to redeem himself after a tough end to his time with Arsenal.

  1. Don’t do it Blue. He’ll finish you off. If he had anything good to offer then Arsenal would not be finishing with him
