Arsenal fans won’t like Charlie Nicholas’ comparison of Wenger, Emery

Former Arsenal star Charlie Nicholas has slammed his former side for not doing enough to move on from the Arsene Wenger’s era.

According to Charlie Nicholas, the Arsenal he knew under former manager Arsene Wenger is better than the one he now knows under the new Spanish manager.

It would be recalled that the former Gunners boss was accused of not being able to motivate his side to win games and most importantly, he failed to deliver a Champions League qualification for the North London outfit on two consecutive seasons.

He explained that the Arsenal side are a mess defensively which adds to the fact that they lack a leader on the pitch which means they lack guidance to run through games while already on the pitch.

Charlie Nicholas said he expects the Gunners to still secure qualification to the Champions League next season but that will start from winning Man United later on Sunday as Tottenham have got a number of difficult games to play, having lost against Southampton on Saturday.

However, the North London outfit are hoping to be more consistent in their approach to games so as to secure massive points to be able to stand a better chance.
