This Arsenal defender would be a good signing for West Brom

West Brom manager Tony Pulis is once again struggling to capture some of his top transfer targets this summer transfer window, despite signing Jay Rodriguez earlier this month.

One particular area where his team needs to improve is the right-back position, with the boss heavily reliant on Craig Dawson to perform the role throughout the season.

And with this in mind, West Brom should enter the race to sign Arsenal’s full-back Carl Jenkinson, who has been linked with a move away from the club, with a whole host of Premier League clubs eyeing him, including Newcastle United and Brighton and Hove Albion, as per ESPN.

Jenkinson 25, has failed to break into the first eleven at Arsenal, since joining the Emirates club in the summer of 2011, playing just 27 matches for the team in the process.

Undoubtedly, the defender still has a lot to offer at the highest level though, and with his impressive energy levels, along with the strong commitment level he shows weekly, he is seemingly a type of player Pulis should sign.

The full back is a strong tackler who places priority on the defensive side of his game, also contribute a lot going forward.

The former Chortle Athletic defender has just a season left on his current contract in north London, so he should not be too costly for West Brom.
