How Arsenal failed to win but remain unbeaten in 12 games

It is only a change of narrative and not a reason to cry for the Gunners as they failed to extend their winning run to 12 with a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners defence will definitely take the blame after Shkodran Mustafi and Granit Xhaka both conceded penalties in the game to ensure that the goals from Perrier Emerick Aubameyang does not count at the Selhurst Park.

Arsenal have been on a high flying mood after their two consecutive defeats to Manchester City and Chelsea in their first two games of the season by winning all of their games until Sunday afternoon.

An 11th win was recorded by the North London side on Thursday against Sporting CP in the Europa League and the opportunity to extend it in a Premier League game was squashed.

Efforts to ensure a win in the game failed as a result of the poor performance of Arsenal stars, Alex Iwobi and Mesut Ozil in the game. The duo failed to save the team in the Crystal Palace game.

However, there is still something to smile over as the 12th number still count with the Unai Emery side recording their 12th game without a defeat in all competitions.
